Vignette Animation Reel
When animating on interactive titles, I have designed and implemented numerous”vignette” or “cineractive sequences” (different terminology for different studios). Vignettes are canned sequences that play out in front of the player to add texture to the gaming experience.
Collaboration is key when working on vignettes as they involve closely working with the lead designer, mission designer, FX designer and sound designer to coordinate the final experience. This team effort is the reason why it is one of my passions when animating for a game. In the title F.E.A.R. 2 alone I worked on as many as 30 vignettes.
This reel shows some highlights from Condemned 2, Project Caspian and F.E.A.R. 2. I was responsible for all character animation and camera design and implementation.
